FOR RELEASE: May 1, 2009 Newark, DE; Owings Mills, MD – Alex J. Shields, one of the three founding partners of Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE) will retire from the company at the end of May. Between now and then ACE and Alex will continue working to transition his primary responsibilities with the Chesapeake Regional Office and Marketing & Sales. Alex was instrumental in building ACE, leading the early Marketing & Sales efforts which enabled the company to twice achieve listing on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies. Alex established the Chesapeake Region (Maryland) office in 2001 and has been leading that office while contributing to overall company management and sales ever since. All of these efforts have helped bring ACE to its current state of seven offices and over 100 employees. ACE is spending significant time and effort to ensure a smooth management and financial transition.
