Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE) has worked with ABB and its acquired companies’ products since our start in 1991. Our experience began with Bailey Controls Net-90 configuration and has continued through today’s ABB 800xA DCS and Freelance 800F systems. Along the way we have also worked with the Taylor, Hartman and Braun, and Fischer & Porter product families.
Starting with an Independent Systems Integrator agreement with an Emerson Process Management distributor in January 2000, ACE has provided thousands of hours of DeltaV project support. This includes providing complete DeltaV systems, expansions and upgrades, and integration with skid-mounted PLCs and other platforms. In addition to our DeltaV work, we have engineers experienced with PROVOX systems and are happy to provide system support and migration services.
ACE has provided Honeywell system engineering, configuration and project support since the early 1990s including work on TDC 2000, TDC 3000 and Experion. Several of our staff members also bring experience from Honeywell TDC 2000 and TDC 3000 projects with their previous employers. This includes engineers who came to ACE from Honeywell and projects that predate the founding of ACE.
ACE has been working with the Rockwell Automation (Rockwell) family of products since the early 1990’s. One of Rockwell’s more recent offerings, PlantPAx, is a process automation system providing customers with DCS features previously unavailable from PLC suppliers. Similarly, ACE provides customers with the knowledge and expertise not available from many other system integrators. Since 2003, ACE has had a formal relationship with Rockwell. Recently, this relationship grew to include ACE as a Solution Partner in Rockwell’s exclusive System Integrator program.
Our extensive Siemens experience is recognized through our certifications as a Siemens Solutions Partner, a Pharmaceutical Specialist, a Migration Specialist, and a Braumat Partner. Our project history extends back over 15 years and includes configurations of Moore Products MYCRO and APACS, and of course Siemens PCS 7.
